Charter of the Road · MMXXVI

The Manifest

What follows is a charter, not a privacy policy. Seven tenets that bind the operators of this road as plainly as we know how to write them. Read them. Hold us to them.

  1. No accounts. No identities.

There is no sign-up, no email, no password to forget or to leak. A passage requires two addresses and an agreement on price — nothing more. We cannot surrender what we never asked you to give.

  2. No logs. No fingerprints.

IP addresses are stripped at the gate. Browser fingerprints are not recorded. Session telemetry is not collected. The only durable trace of a swap is its on-chain settlement, signed by you.

  3. Custody is a burden we refuse.

Funds touch no hot wallet of ours. Atomic settlement means either both legs of a swap clear, or neither does. We hold nothing because we cannot be compelled to return what we do not have.

  4. Proof, not promises.

Every passage is committed to a daily Merkle root, signed and published. You can verify your trade against the ledger without revealing it to anyone else. Trust is replaceable; mathematics is not.

  5. The route belongs to the bearer.

Privacy-preserving rails — Monero, Lightning, mixed liquidity — are offered as first-class corridors, not afterthoughts. The choice of how loudly to travel is yours alone.

  6. Censorship is a routing failure.

We do not maintain blocklists of addresses, geographies, or counterparties. We will not partner with chain-analysis firms. We will not file suspicious-activity reports on people whose only crime is privacy.

  7. If we change, we tell you first.

This charter is versioned and signed. Any amendment is published in full, with the prior text preserved alongside. We would rather close the road than walk it quietly in the wrong direction.

Bound by oath

Things we will never do

  • We will never require identity documents.
  • We will never log your IP address.
  • We will never custody user funds.
  • We will never sell, share, or barter trade data.
  • We will never integrate chain-analysis tooling.
  • We will never amend this charter in silence.

“The road answers to the bearer, and to no one else.”
